The word kefir is said to have originated from the Turkish word "Keif" which means "good feeling". It is because kefir is full of probiotics which help us keep our digestive system or say our gut, healthy. Kefir also contains many vitamins, minerals, amino acids and enzymes. Especially calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, B2 and B12, vitamin K, vitamin A and vitamin D. Tryptophan, one of the essential amino acids abundant in kefir, is well known for its relaxing effect on the nervous system.
So a small bowl of kefir frozen yoghurt after dinner, not only it satisfies our taste buds, more importantly, it makes us feel good, literally. How can we not love it?!
